    Thank Heaven For 7-11

The title of this post is really irrelevant, but I do pray every night thanking God for giving chinese people jobs on every corner. Last night was tragic, I went home to work and my Macbook wouldn’t boot… no signal at all. I was pretty pissed because if something was fried it would probably cost a couple grand to fix and take at least a couple weeks to get back. It’s my work computer also, so I would of really been f’d. Turns out I just needed to swap the battery with another mac which reset it, then put it back and blam, it worked!!! Thank heaven…

    New Music: Four Tet

I decided to start adding new artists that I find to my blog so check Four Tet. Another electro chill artist. Listen on deezer. The new coldplay ‘Viva la Vida‘ was released recently, and I was the first person in the world to listen to it. ‘Yes‘ is solid, the other tracks are okay… kinda have listen through a few times before it gets lodged into your right hemisphere.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

If you work on computers, and haven’t used Deezer, do it. I find a lot of new artists through them and its all free. It has a feature called ’smart radio’ where you let it randomly select artists of a genre you pick , and you can approve or dissaprove and it will learn from your choices. Nifty, no?

    Working My Body

Exercise is the key to a successful life, if you disagree then eat a fat german sausage. But a bigger key to success to keeping a healthy lifestyle is your diet, and that’s almost impossible to do in philippines. Literally everywhere you look, you are bombarded with all kinds of unhealthy food joints. Almost every place serves deep fried innerds with rice, or american greasey crap like McDick or Pizza Hut. Common filipino dishes include intestines, livers, kidneys, stomachs, or entire heads of whatever animal your eating (which is really questionable most times). Anyways… enough bitching from me, i’m just saying its hard to maintain my health here. Oh yea, and the beer “San Miguel” is incredibly delicious and about $4.50 for six cold ones served on ice…

In other news, been working hard on my own projects. I’ll be launching a database related website. Don’t want to give to much info on that until its released. Also working on some other sites and possibly going to hire a person to try’n pump some content out.

    Plaid

Nothing like finding a good new artist. I enjoy eating pancakes, but enjoy plaid (listen on deezer) even more! Electronic, experimental would best describe the genre. Artist site: http://www.plaid.co.uk/

In filipino news, things have been fairly decent. Beer is so cheap that it makes my ‘healthy’ lifestyle hard to maintain, but I goto the gym minimum 4 times a week still. Myself, Aaron, and Vik all split the cost of a maid named Gloria and she’s amazing. She cooks, cleans, buys groceries, calls us ’sirs’, does the laundry. She even went to culinary school so you know she’s good. Only complaint is she literally drowns the sandwiches in mayo – kind of a filipino tradition, and communication is difficult sometimes. The rest is all good though so i’ll shutup.

I’m adding some photos to the gallery for those 2 people that visit my site once a year (thanks for all your support).
