Whenever I listen to Bloc Party it really brings back memories and feelings of a certain time in my life. I was first introduced to them 3 or 4 years ago during the autumn season, and listening the brand new album ‘Intimacy’ them now, on October 31, really brings me back. I remember riding the bmx around in the cold crisp air, with the brown leaves starting to fall, gray skies, wearing a warm scarf, and grande vanila americano with a smooth leon jimenez cigar. How poetic, I know. Laugh all you want, but I do miss this indeed, and right now wish I could be home to rekindle that. On the subject of bloc party, the new album intimacy (released oct 28, 2008) is pretty damn good. I did an ‘index of’ search and found the full download of bloc party – intimacy album here. Here in the Philippines, it is not a common practice to use toilet paper. Instead, most of the locals use the ladel to clean the black hole of doom after defecating. In a recent event, one of the filipinos that works on the same floor as me decided it would be funny to break the lids off the toilet seats, so you now have no where to put your ass. Thanks a lot dick wad! I’m really glad I consistently do squats at the gym, as staying perched in the frog position gets rather tiresome. Thankfully I pack my own supply of toilet paper around so I don’t have to resort to getting my hand stinky.

I always preach that the most important part of your body to train is your core. You should really train your core every single day. A huge part of gaining core strength is to always be thinking about good posture, especially for those of you who have desk jobs. Good posture at the desk can be difficult because most of us don’t have a proper ergonomic setup. With a little creativity however, you can do things to FORCE you to sit properly at your desk. It’s hard to come home after a days work and go back to work, especially when you don’t have any guarantee that what your doing is going to pay off. It feels like ‘why should I even bother?’, especially when the web is so saturated in every topic. Well, yes it’s over saturated, but that definitely does mean that you can’t make money at it.
Below I have listed four key subjects that keep me motivated and continually slaving away even when I’d rather relax and watch TV.

Roughly 90% of guys that hit the gym focus on two body parts: chest and arms. They hit a plateau because they don’t work all muscles of the body, which is key to continually gaining strength and proper muscle development. The most import thing to focus on is your core. If you don’t have a solid core, then you will come to a peak, and fast. Here are 10 exercises you must do to see fast results in your work outs. Read The Rest

A few months ago I read an article by ReadWriteWeb about the future of blogging. I never noticed this trend until it was pointed out by them. To quickly summarize the article, it’s about how personal blogs have been shifting to horizontal updates, in a manner similar to how you post Twitter updates. I really like how information is presented to users in this fashion, and decided to design a few concept ‘LifeStreaming’ wordpress themes. I hope to have these ready for download within the next few weeks. The design is nearly done, it just needs to be sliced and coded. Subscribe to my feed if you wish to be notified of when they are available.
Note: The white lifestream wordpress theme is now available for download.

As designers, we often become frustrated with the endless search of the “perfect font” for whatever the project may be. There are so many awesome fonts put out by Adobe and other companies but they come with a big price tag. I’m going to give a bit of information showing you how to use google to find pretty much any font you want, for free. However, I am not liable for your actions or what you choose do with this information. When you steal these fonts, your stealing from the designer who made them. BUY IT IF YOU LIKE IT!

First of all, I don’t take any supplements, only protein powder which isn’t even necessary if you can suffice for it in your diet, naturally. Seeing as how I live in the Philippines though, the meat products are generally no good so I am protein deficient. There is much debate over how much protein should be in a active person’s diet; some experts say 1.5 grams times your body weight per day, while others say 0.7g * weight. In my experience I’ve found to much won’t hurt you, but it also won’t benefit you if you don’t consume at the proper times. Here is a breakdown of my diet, what time I eat, and when I exercise.

If you notice on the photos thumbnails and page, you can see some new photos for a modeling gig. This was a shoot to do a ’set card’ which is what you present to clients who hire models for advertising, and they can decide if they like you or not. Modeling here in the Philippines is a massive industry and they really really want white skinned models, that’s why I was approached a few times to do this stuff… and after trying it I can tell its not my bag. I haven’t even done a shoot yet for a client, but it’s easy to tell right away from just the set card shoot what that lifestyle is like.

Started a new recipes site, where users can rate recipes, submit them, comment. The domain sucks, and the recipes site will be based around foods with garlic. It’s garlicfoods.info so I’m looking to buy something with a dot com instead. What’s import is that the structure of the site gets nailed down so I can reuse the code for other recipe sites. On the homepage a featured recipe box with large images that cycle. I used an open source jQuery script called the ‘coda slider’. However, after all the hard of getting it to work properly. I think I found something even better: Better Coda Slider. If you ever need to cycle content (featured content, news flashes, etc) this is great script to do it.
