    QuoteRobot & jQuery 1.4

I’m happy to announce Quote Robot is taking off. We’ve made a lot of progress and things are looking very promising. The goal is to be able to launch mid-end february. If you haven’t already, please head over to quoterobot.com and sign up for the newsletter. We’ll be giving away a bunch of beta accounts so you might be a lucky winner if you sign up early.

In other news, jQuery 1.4 was released and there is an ass-load of fixes and improvements! Media temple also put up a contest for sites that showcase jQuery nicely, and I submitted and won for sapphiresound.ca! Pretty stoked about this. Check out the mediatemple jQuery winners here. The winners receive free hosting for a year, and the top winner gets a MacBook Pro 13″!

  • Holy shit! I just wasted an hour of my life, going through all my view options trying to figure out WHY my frames in the timeline aren’t showing up. Hopefully this will save you an hour too. In your timeline, look to the bottom right corner and you will see 3 vertical light grey lines (an icon). Double click this and voila, your frames will appear.

    QuoteRobot.com Coming Soon!

I’m very excited to announce a personal project me and my good friend Shawn have been cooking up: QuoteRobot. The project has been in discussion for over a year, but over the last few months we’ve decided to pick up the pace and put words to action. So… what is Quote Robot? It’s a slick, easy to use, professional quote generation tool. You can drag and drop quote pages as you please onto your ‘canvas’, set your hourly rates,  fill in quote line items with auto complete suggestions, set a time line for your project, and output this all to PDF and web format. You literally cut down your quote & estimate time by hours! There’s a TON of features were implementing but we’re also aiming to keep it as simple, intuitive, and easy to use as possible. Check out some of the screen shots over and Shawn’s blog, and be sure to sign up for the mailing list on the splash page (and you might just get a free account when it’s released).

    jQuery Banners v1.0

With the new year here, I’ve decided to start releasing some scripts I use frequently for myself and clients. This is definitely not the first jQuery Banners script out there, but it is certainly one of the most light weight, and easy to use. The script supports the following features:

    • Horizontal & Vertical banner image rotating
    • Banner rotations triggered by an object, or jQuery Timer
    • Linkable banner images
    • Easing & Speed control on banner transitions

    2010: Let’s Try This Again

Last year, I blogged about 2009 “The Year Of Success”. Like 99% of you, I made a few new years resolutions and forgot about them within the first month. This year, instead of drawing out a long list, I’m going to stick with just one: complete and finish all of my web projects started in 2009. This blog has been all alone since may, 2009. I promised a few themes, a few scripts, and then stopped blogging. Well it’s time to try this again. Best of to all of you who read this, and I hope you can stick to your resolutions!
