Holy shit! I just wasted an hour of my life, going through all my view options trying to figure out WHY my frames in the timeline aren’t showing up. Hopefully this will save you an hour too. In your timeline, look to the bottom right corner and you will see 3 vertical light grey lines (an icon). Double click this and voila, your frames will appear.

I’m very excited to announce a personal project me and my good friend Shawn have been cooking up: QuoteRobot. The project has been in discussion for over a year, but over the last few months we’ve decided to pick up the pace and put words to action. So… what is Quote Robot? It’s a slick, easy to use, professional quote generation tool. You can drag and drop quote pages as you please onto your ‘canvas’, set your hourly rates, fill in quote line items with auto complete suggestions, set a time line for your project, and output this all to PDF and web format. You literally cut down your quote & estimate time by hours! There’s a TON of features were implementing but we’re also aiming to keep it as simple, intuitive, and easy to use as possible. Check out some of the screen shots over and Shawn’s blog, and be sure to sign up for the mailing list on the splash page (and you might just get a free account when it’s released).

We have officially launched We Don’t Support IE! We Don’t Support IE is a site dedicated to helping the world upgrade. We do this by offering a bunch of small buttons that webmasters can put on their websites, or generate a button if you don’t want to use a premade one. Users can also add their site to the “supported” directory for a free backlink. We are hoping this picks up some speed and becomes popular among IE haters. Check it out and grab a button!

I’m proud to have released the women’s question and answer website AnswerLily.com for a client. I had worked my ass off most of January to get this site done. I’m still reworking the colour theme though to make like a little more like DailyCandy.com. Another site which was launched today (but is still in the works) is We Don’t Support IE. The goal of this website is to start a web movement against IE. I really hope this picks up speed because I am more than frustrated with IE and can’t count how many hours I’ve put into bug fixing for this retarded browser. After talking to several programmers and designers, everyone seems to feel the same and would be more than happy to put the button on their site.

Today I am proud to have launched my companies website: Moustache Media. Moustache is a web production company which takes on clients and jobs of all sorts, as well as owns our own web projects. Moustache utilizes our large network of web professionals to meet any web related request a client may have. The new site proudly does not support internet explorer, so if you decide to view it in IE, you won’t have the access to the main site content.

Since wordpress 2.7 was released, I’m going to be updating the LifeStreaming White wordpress theme. I have overhauled jono.blog (using the lifestreaming white template), but made many adjustments which haven’t been implemented in the lifestream theme yet. To name a few adjustments: the post slider was changed (width of selected post auto adjusts with jQuery), threaded comments now supported (introduced in 2.7), various type face changes (line heights, font sizes, etc), and the list goes on. I hope to have an updated release before Christmas. Stay tuned!

I decided to use my lifestreaming white wordpress theme and revamp it to a black version for my personal blog. At this point in time, I’m not going to release the black version but I plan on releasing my old blog theme to the public.
I’ve also rethought the lifestreaming white theme, and decided to make it more widget compatible with the lifestream plugin. Instead of putting posts in the timeline slider, it’d be good to have the option of using the widget on the right hand side. This would separate your posts content from you lifestream content. I plan on doing that with this site, so you can get a better idea of what I’m talking about.

I am proud to present to you the free lifestreaming wordpress theme: LifeStreaming White. I know, not a very creative name, but hey it’s free! This theme utilizes jQuery to display recent updates in a horizontal scrolling fashion, kind of like a timeline. You can watch your life go by, and scroll through your updates! Without further ado, here is LifeStreaming White.

A few months ago I read an article by ReadWriteWeb about the future of blogging. I never noticed this trend until it was pointed out by them. To quickly summarize the article, it’s about how personal blogs have been shifting to horizontal updates, in a manner similar to how you post Twitter updates. I really like how information is presented to users in this fashion, and decided to design a few concept ‘LifeStreaming’ wordpress themes. I hope to have these ready for download within the next few weeks. The design is nearly done, it just needs to be sliced and coded. Subscribe to my feed if you wish to be notified of when they are available.
Note: The white lifestream wordpress theme is now available for download.

As designers, we often become frustrated with the endless search of the “perfect font” for whatever the project may be. There are so many awesome fonts put out by Adobe and other companies but they come with a big price tag. I’m going to give a bit of information showing you how to use google to find pretty much any font you want, for free. However, I am not liable for your actions or what you choose do with this information. When you steal these fonts, your stealing from the designer who made them. BUY IT IF YOU LIKE IT!
